so today i had a meeting my one of the tattoo artists in the local tattoo shops to speak about my future tattoo i told him what i want etc.. he drew up like 3 stencils,i looked at his portfolio spoke about the price and time( how long will it take to finish it)
but i wasnt satisfied with the drawing i dont know if it was me being picky or him missunderstanding me
anyway he told me that it will take about 10-12 hours of work to finish the tattoo ( i want a 3/4 sleeve) (starting from my shoulder and finishing about 5 inches below my elbow ) and i dont know if i should call it a sleeve i dont want the under/inside of my arm tattooed only the “front”
and that it will be 100$ per hour so somewhere from 1000-1200$ for the whole project
as for the design i want a geisha,japanese koi fish and some flowers the image that i have in my head is that the geisha is kneeling or sitting on a rock near the pond and the koi will be peeking thru the water with some water flowers floating on the top of the water

i will be meeting with another artist after the Veterans Day in about 2 weeks

so my question is how long did it take to finish your sleeve and how much did you pay for it ?? also did you pay by “piece work” ( piece by piece ) or upfront for the whole project ??

Do you know of any stores that would sell a slip-on tattoo sleeve?

I’d rather not buy off the internet, do you think any stores woudl have it? Also, I live in miami so do you think that Miami ink would sell that kind of stuff in their store? (since “Miami Ink” is one of the popular brands out there on the internet)…

I would like a tattoo sleeve but does just 1 look silly? is it usual to have both arms done? I have 2 tattoos on one arm & 3 on the other.

Do you have any idea where I could buy one of these? I don’t want to buy it online, I’m asking if there would be any stores that sell them. Also, I live in Miami, so do you think that Miami Ink would sell them at their studio? (since one of the brands that’s popular online is called “Miami Ink”)…..

Ok i weigh 140lbs and am about 5′10″. Im toned not just skin and bones, and my arms are on the thin side. Can skinny guys pull off half sleeve or quarter sleeve tattoos in your opinion? I know that when getting a tattoo i should be getting what i want where i want, its going to be on my body for the rest of my life, im just looking for some outside opinion. my right arm is bigger than my left, would a half sleeve look ridiculous?

Raging Sun & Dragon Tattoo Sleeves

I am thinking about getting some partial tattoo sleeves. Contrary to the usual way of doing what they call “half sleeves” I only want to cover my forearms (below the elbow).

I am aware that tattoos vary in price based on size, color, the tattoo artist, etc. but I’m really just looking for an estimated cost.

If this helps, I am quite small in stature; my arm flesh’s total outside surface area is only about 1.6 square feet / 18.8 square inches.

Also, I currently live in New Zealand, so if anyone knows whether there is a difference in cost here, that would be nice to know as well.
